Red, Red, Wine

Hey there!

Fall is my favorite season. (I suppose I should be saying "autumn" because "fall" does not exist in the UK. I'm a rebel and sticking to my American roots.) Layers, a break from the soft hues and pastels, and hot beverages make me one happy girl. To be honest, I'm fickle when it comes to anything. I'm always up for something new and fresh when the past becomes a bit redundant. Fall delivers new challenges: a new way to wear your clothes. Adding a light jacket, tights, scarves, or knee high socks completely transforms your summer clothing into fall attire!

Nothing feels more fall-like than the color red. You can call it burgundy, wine, maroon, cranberry or oxblood... I love it all.

I was inspired by these redberries planted next to the houses I see on my daily walk to school. I decided to put together a casual outfit with pops of red for a sunny Sunday afternoon.

I've been dying for cooler weather just to wear this beautiful Free People jacket with victorian style lacing on the back!

These BCBG floral-cut flats have been a staple of mine for almost six years! Worth every cent. They will be ready to retire soon, I think. :(

I love layering this collared shirt over jackets. Fun and chic!

Looking back on these photos, I realize I could have paired a gorgeous kelly green jacket with this outfit to zone in on the redberry flower inspiration! Ah, well. This is a learning process after all, right?
